Where & when did it live?
T-Rex lived in North America (modern day Montana, Texas, Utah, & Wyoming) during the late Cretaceous Era about 68 to 66 million years ago.
How big did it get?
T-Rex grew to 12 meters long and weighed between 4,500 – 14,000 kg.
What did it eat?
Meat! T-Rex was a meat-eating dinosaur, also called a carnivore. Prey would have included Triceratops and other herbivorous dinosaurs.
Fun & interesting facts!
This powerful predator could eat up to 230 kilograms of meat in one bite! Fossils of T-Rex’s prey, including Triceratops & Edmontosaurus, suggest that T-Rex crushed and broke bones as it ate, and broken bones have also been found in its dung.
