The basement of Higher Leigh Manor had always been particularly atmospheric and knowing that Egypt held an interest for many people, the Park owner felt that it would be an ideal attraction – The Tomb of the Pharaohs!

Many months were spent recreating the exact hieroglyphics and paintings found in some of Egypt’s most famous discovered tombs, all of which you can translate if you follow the hieroglyphic alphabet chart that is on the wall. This attraction was intended to be both educational and fun and even a little scary when our ‘Mummy’ awakens! But don’t worry kids – he’s not really alive … at least we hope not!
